After having such a great day trip to the mountains last weekend, Mark and I decided to plan a snowboarding trip for next weekend. Since neither of us have any snow clothes, we hit up the shops today.
A side-note about shopping in Switzerland: everything is closed on Sundays. It's just part of the European culture that Sunday is a day of rest. Needless to say, after coming from a society where everything is open 7 days a week, and accessible almost or always 24/7, it is an adjustment to have to plan out when to shop. The stores here open between 8:30-10:00 am and close around 6:00 pm. With both of us working now, we have to do all of our shopping on Saturdays.
Knowing that we had to make sure to get all of our clothes shopping done today, we decided to hit the pavement early today to make sure we had the whole day....and thank goodness we did! After a very LONG day of going from store to store, we are now outfitted! I can't wait to hit the slopes.....or in my case, the bunny run!
So cute! Close by 6pm and no Sundays? Wow. I don't know if we would even have groceries.
